New car style,Ghazal-1 from Saudi Arabia

Ghazal-1 is the first vehicle made in Saudi Arabia. It is a mint-colored SUV named after a desert deer. The first presentation of the Ghazal took place at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show.
Some sources say that it is probably based on the underprintings of Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen, but this is not official. So far the manufacturer has not given any information about the powertrain, pricing or any features of the SUV.
While some people expect it to be very sophisticated with “a ruby gear shifter, steering wheel of finest sapphire and pedals fashioned from rhodium”, Ghazal looks nothing like that. This “first car to be engineered and manufactured by the Saudis” has a plain image. It was created by engineering students of King Saud University who designed the SUV “with the unique and diverse terrain of the Arab Peninsula in mind”, according to the rector of the University.
Saudi Arabia is not planning to build any assembly plant for the mass production of the Ghazal, but the University representatives say that it is possible that there will be about 20,000 vehicles built per year.
