There might be many cars which have fine designs, but only few turn heads and get pointing fingers as much as the 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG does. The coupe runs on a V8 engine which outputs 563 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. It is mated with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with launch control. The Mercedes features all-aluminum spaceframe, aluminum double-wishbone suspension and two-piece brake rotors.
The head of Mercedes-Benz research and development says that the 2011 model was built to “show how sporty a Mercedes can be”. It jumps from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and reaches the top speed of 200 mph. And all this speed can be brought back to zero with the exceptionally good brakes which have a bulldog grip.
