The automotive industry has long ago realized that fossil fuels won't last forever. An alternative source of power should be developed before resources dry up, but these should be as strong and powerful as the fuel. Of course, electricity is the most viable candidate for that. Since then, automakers have been developing and improving electric-powered cars but apparently, as of now it can't be mass-produced yet. But in the sports car section, there are lots of happenings. The French racing team Exagon Engineering, for example, has just created an electric GT car.
So named Furtive-eGT, it is a unique product of Exagon Motors. It is equipped with a pair of new generation electric engines, each providing 125 kilowatts, that has a total power of 340 horsepower at 5,000 to 10,000 rpm. It has 354-pound feet of torque. As for the speed, the 2012 Furtive-eGT has a top speed of 155mph and accelerates from 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds.
