BMW offers the high security sedan for those who require best protection while they are in the car. The manufacturer claims that the new BMW 760Li High Security and 750Li High Security can withstand an attack of a small army.
First of all the sedans have reinforced body parts: protective steel armor is installed in the doors, roof, pillars, front footwell and even the wall that separates the passanger compartment from luggage compartment. The chassis has special armor to protect the vehicle from explosions. Special glass is bullet proof: it is a multilayer laminated glass with a polycarbonate layer inside to stop the glass from shattering.
The heavy sedans are equipped with reinforced shocks and suspension which are capable to carry the weight without making impact on the dynamics of the cars. 760 Li High Security performs well with a V12 engine that outputs 536 horsepower and is connencted to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The top speed of the sedan is 130 mph and it jumps from 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds.
If the basic features are not enough BMW offers a lot of options and upgrades. They are an intercom system with concealed microphones and speakers, a roof beacon, LED flashers, an assault alarm, an onboard fire extinguisher, irritant-gas sensors, an internal fresh-air supply, a gun case in the center of console that can fit two machine guns and fender-mounted flag holders for embassies.
